It’s time to play, to combine contrasting fabrics and garment styles in a way that we wish to wear them. We are no longer being dictated to by fashion designers and brands as to how to wear our clothes so we can create our fashion statement by mixing styles and fabrics in our own individual way. Fabric designs will range from the purest and simplest stripes, like a notebook on which we can play with letters and words, to mini fragmented patterns and bold, graphic chessboard-type designs in navy’s, black and white. Fine colourful stripes with devored areas will embody the playfulness of glass marbles and suspended flat shapes on gauzes will emulate the diamonds and spades on playing cards. White feather-like textures, created with intricate jacquard stuctures and soft, downy threads will add to this seasons’ feeling of lightness and playfulness.
